Roasted Oysters

Mere Point Oysters
Lemon wedges or hot sauce (really its up to you. You can use any sauce you like)


  1. Place whole un-shucked oysters on a very hot grill CUP side DOWN and the flat TOP side UP.
  2. Wait several minutes until they pop open. This can take anywhere from 4-10 minutes depending on the size of the oyster and the temperature of your grill.
  3. After they open up, remove from the grill with tongs. The shells will be very hot.
  4. Once the shell has cooled down a little bit, the top shell can be peeled right off and you can dress them as you like and eat them from the shell with a fork!
